This project involved the reconstruction of a failing retaining wall and expansion of the property’s driveway and parking area. The new retaining wall established a defined boundary between the hillside and the expanded parking area while providing improved site stability.
The project also included grading, aggregate installation, and a hybrid drainage system using solid and perforated PVC piping. Solid piping was used to direct roof and gutter runoff away from the home, while perforated piping collected groundwater and subsurface moisture from behind the retaining wall and redirected it away from the structure.
The driveway and parking area were expanded, graded, and finished with stone aggregate, providing an immediately usable surface while preparing the area for the homeowner to install asphalt at a later date.
